Take Advantage of BBB “Secure Your ID” Days!

Did you know that protecting your identity is largely in your own hands? Fifty-six percent* of identity theft victims traced the theft to something that was stolen from their own possession.

So here’s the first rule: If you don’t need it, destroy it – responsibly. BBB is here to help.

On Saturday, September 20th, BBBs in communities across North America will host BBB “Secure Your ID” Day. A key feature of these events will be FREE on-site document shredding plus tips to protect your identity – online and off. Bring up to three boxes/bags of paper documents that contain personal identifiers and we’ll shred it for you—free—on the spot. BBB of Utah will host our local event at 5673 South Redwood Road from 9:00AM – 12:00PM.

Our last event yielded the largest single-day response in national history – and this next event promises to be even larger.
