C.R. England, a Salt Lake City-based global transportation provider, has been awarded the 2012 Armada Supply Chain Solutions Carrier of the Year Award. Armada is the parent company of LXP, which is a premier Lead Logistics Provider that creates outsourced managed freight solutions for the Foodservice industry. The distinction honors the top Armada carriers that best meet the multiple award criterion including customer service, collaboration and performance.  C.R. England was one of the two Carrier of the Year award recipients this year.

"C.R. England is honored to receive such a notable award," said Mike Bunnell, CSO, C.R. England.  "We are very pleased to know that our continued efforts to provide exceptional customer service and our dedication to our customers continue to build strong business relationships."

Armada has a carrier merit program consisting of four levels with C.R. England winning in the highest level of the Elite group and by demonstrating extraordinary performance, winning the Carrier of the Year award. The merit program category levels are based on size, revenue and other relevant performance factors. Carriers are critiqued on sixteen points including ease of doing business, driving efficient carrier and stakeholder behaviors and exceptional service performance levels.

"C.R. England is an outstanding carrier for us, delivering great customer service and excellent on-time performance. They work collaboratively with us to drive improved efficiency into our respective networks," said Paul Newbourne, Senior Vice President Operations, Armada Supply Chain Solutions.  "We are very pleased to be able to honor C.R. England who is one of our many great carriers.  Without their exceptional performance and commitment to our business model, we would not be able to meet the expectations of our clients."
