This week is the final deadline to sign up for the upcoming Zions Bank Trade Mission to Vietnam! The March 17 to March 24, 2012 Trade Mission, organized in cooperation with the Utah Governor’s Office of International Trade and Diplomacy, World Trade Center Utah and the U.S. Commercial Service is designed to strengthen economic ties between the Rocky Mountain States and Vietnam, and to help businesses discover new business opportunities in one of the most dynamic markets in the world.
Though officially a Socialist Republic, Vietnam has gradually become more open and market-oriented, and their economy is projected to double in size over the next decade. This growth will provide many opportunities to American businesses looking for new markets for their goods and services. Vietnam is also an increasingly attractive source for manufactured goods.
The trade delegation will visit Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and with assistance from the local U.S. Commercial Service office, trade mission participants will be able to mingle with local business and industry leaders. Members of the delegation will also have opportunities for cultural excursions during the trade mission, including a trip to the Mekong Delta.
For those companies seeking specific contacts, the U.S. Commercial Service offers their Gold Key service which provides pre-arranged face-to-face meetings with prescreened business contacts including potential agents, distributors, buyers and joint-venture partners.
Trade Mission estimated costs and fees per person:
- Airfare – $1,500
- Hotel – $1,500
- Participation Fee – $1,000
- Gold Key Services – additional fee
