If you have let your basic mediation qualifications lapse, now is the time to rectify the situation, with the below provisos (see target audience). In addition to complying with Utah Court Roster regulations, possibly enabling you to be on the Utah Court Roster, you will also contribute to the operations of the UDR non-profit Community Mediation Center which serves more than 4,000 low-and middle-income Utah residents annually. When you take a course with UDR, you know that you are supporting people in need. Plus, while learning, and funding community service, you will enjoy a continental breakfast, a gourmet lunch, and tasty afternoon treats.

Target Audience

This workshop is designed for participants:

• Whose previous mediation training occurred some time ago, and the participant has not been conducting mediations recently.

• Who want to satisfy the requirement for continuing education to re-qualify for the Utah Court Roster of mediators.

• Who need CLE (Continuing Legal Education) credits to re-qualify for licensure through the Utah State Bar.

• Whose previous mediation training was not adequate to satisfy the current 40-hour training requirement to qualify for the Utah Court Roster of Mediators or was completed more than three years ago. (Note: Check with Nini Rich, the ADR Director at the Administrative Office of the Courts to assess your specific situation, and to determine whether this workshop will satisfy this requirement.)

Prerequisites

Participants in this training must have completed basic mediation training prior to attending this workshop.

Date: Wednesday, January 27, 2010 (8:30 am to 5:00 pm)

Cost $175
