The Vest Pocket Coalition recently hired Matt Monson as their new executive director. Monson comes to Vest Pocket with experience promoting local business with Local First Utah, and prior to that as a local business owner. He is an adjunct fashion professor at Salt Lake Community College and is the creator of the Salt Lake City Fashion Stroll.

“I’m excited to focus on the mission of Vest Pocket, which is advocacy, networking and education for Salt Lake Valley’s local business owners,” says Matt Monson, Vest Pocket’s new executive director.

“Monson was chosen because we feel he will welcome a new audience of young business owners into our coalition,” says Camille Winnie, president of the Vest Pocket board of directors. “He has a lot of passion for the local business community and brings new energy into the group.”

Monson also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Technology and Marketing from the University of Utah.
