The Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce Spikers will conduct the official ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday. Light refreshments will be served.
“We welcome the South Ogden community to drop by our open house on Friday, July 13, and get to know our great team who will be serving the community in the new location, and then on Saturday we encourage all to come out and buy something at the yard sale to support the Have a Heart Foundation,” said Scott H. Parkinson, senior vice president of marketing and communications for Bank of Utah. “Our mortgage loan officers and local members of NWAOR have been collecting good quality clothing, toys, furniture, and household items to sell at the yard sale. With the community’s generous support, we can help local families with special needs finance and own the homes of their dreams.”
Generous donations from local businesses such as Bank of Utah, and other community partners, make it possible to sell the Have a Heart homes at a substantial discount to families in need. Bank of Utah also recently donated a $30,000 lot in Pleasant View to Have a Heart. The 16,000 square-foot lot will be the site of the soon-to-be built 2012 Have a Heart home. This is the first time a bank has donated property to Have a Heart in the charity’s 12-year history.
