With so many diets, recommendations on how to eat, what we eat, how and where food is grown and nutrition fads, it’s hard to distinguish between what is news, and what is a fad.
On September 23, The Leonardo, in partnership with the Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative (USTAR) will present the next edition of Leo After Hours. Is Your Food Killing You: Navigating a Full Crop of What Food is Healthy, Toxic and Everything in Between will feature a dialogue between experts in various fields of nutrition, representatives from the food industry and members of our community. The goal of this discussion is to help us understand what is healthy vs. what is not.
The event will take place Tuesday, September 23 from 6-7:30 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) at The Leonardo, 209 East 500 South, third floor event center. After Hours is free and open to the public. Appetizers and drinks will be available for purchase. Come prepared with questions and comments.
Leo After Hours is a joint production of the Leonardo and USTAR. The quarterly events explore science and technology in society through the lens of local innovation, and are made possible with generous support from CH2MHill. Previous After Hours events have included discussion topics such as air quality, the science behind why and what we fear, women scientists who have changed the world and uncovering the genius of Da Vinci.
